What truly sets us apart is the experience of our personnel. Hiring, retaining and making sure all of our personnel are properly trained is our highest priority. Customer service is a very close second.
UE testing has been approved for requalifying cylinders since the 1990’s, but the technical knowledge needed to operate the equipment as well as its high capital cost has made many companies slow to adapt. Only a few companies have successfully taken on the technology and have personnel who can train, monitor and evaluate their UE technicians. It took us many years to develop the training systems, maintenance programs and personnel development programs needed to properly deploy the UE technology. We continue to develop our team and our systems to better serve our customers and ensure the job is done right. Everyone in our organization knows that we are a critical part of public safety. This is a point that is emphasized throughout training as well as during evaluations.
Finding the right people is the most critical part of our partnerships. While the ability to master the ultrasound materials is a must, we focus on finding individuals with a spirit of service. We are guests at our partners’ facilities and we make sure to keep happy hosts. We hire people that we all want to work with, as well as making sure our technicians are well compensated and incentivized to get work done when needed.
We also have some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. All of our machines are kept mechanically sound by a very experienced maintenance technician. All of our personnel are also trained on daily and weekly maintenance, and while they lack the proficiency and expertise for all parts of the equipment, they know how to keep our machines operating. As our processes have improved, the number of emergency trips has dwindled.
Our trainer has a gift for teaching and connecting with people. He has trained technicians throughout North and South America and takes a personal interest in the success of every technician we hire. He worked for several years as a technician before becoming a trainer, so he understands the processes, the ultrasound technology and the job that needs to get done. Best of all, he genuinely enjoys helping other people succeed.
Our training process is not a one and done affair. We have learned that retention of information takes time and repetition. Follow up training is almost always needed. Depending on the services needed at the facility, we customize a training program to ensure all technicians receive the proper training. Training can takes weeks to months depending on the person’s aptitude and the knowledge required.
